Electric fencing:
Electric Fences must have the following characteristics:
The structure of the fence must be of high quality material and strong enough to keep intruders out. Electric current on the electric fence must be high enough to keep intruders out carrying a high voltage, low amperage charge, delivered in short pulses.
Electric fences are designed to cause pain or fear in an animal or other intruder but not to cause injury or death. The alarm system of the electric fence must be sensitive enough to activate the alarm when the electric fence is touched or tampered with. The Electric fence system should be linked with armed response or some sort of control Centre to ensure an early warning system is in place when something goes wrong with the electric fence or when intruders try to force their way through the fence or gate.Energizers – An electrical device called a charger or energizer pushes and regulates power through the wires of the fence. Chargers that plug into household current (AC) also convert this current to voltage in direct current (DC). These devices that works to keep animals in, also works to keep intruders out!
